Don's Shoeing Shack
- Regular hoof care and maintenance is important.
Good feet depend on factors that we can't always control
(Conformation faults and environment) and factors we can (nutrition
and hoof care)
Don uses Natural Balance principles to optimize hoof function and
minimize distortion, stimulating the grow of a healthy foot to maintain
or improve soundness.
This can be accomplished with or without shoes (shoes are forged to
customize fitting), depending on conformation, hoof structure and the
environment your horse lives in.
Don's truck carries all equipment needed to provide you with full service
at your location or you may prefer to bring your horse to our facility.
Ruff's Ranch can also facilitate more serious cases like foundered horses
where frequent treatment and close observation can be critical.
Don also does sliding plates for reining horses.
